NORTHBROOK, IL – Building on a legacy of manufacturing superior-quality leather gloves going back to the 1940s, Saf-T-Gard has once again raised the bar on leather protector gloves with the addition of the new Saf-T-Gard® Voltgard® V-GRIPS® Leather Protector Gloves proudly being showcased at The 2022 IEEE PES T&D Conference and Expo in New Orleans, Louisiana, April 25-28, 2022, at booth #4511. A proprietary grip‑enhancing coating covers the palm, index finger and thumb to enable an unsurpassed grip that won’t slip or affect the ergonomics of the gloves. The Saf-T-Gard® Voltgard® V-GRIPS® Leather Protector Gloves complement the existing Voltgard® Leather Protector Gloves product line and help to fill a gap in the current marketplace, as electrical workers need leather protector gloves that can grip well without sacrificing comfort, dexterity or tactile sensitivity when handling small parts.
The Saf-T-Gard® Voltgard® V-GRIPS® Leather Protector Gloves are crafted by leather glove specialists from a gold, grain, goatskin leather that is selected and pressed for softness, comfort, flexibility and durability and provides additional protection against cuts, abrasions and punctures that will not absorb dirt, oil, grit, grime or moisture. Available in low-voltage (VLP-210S and VLP-210S4C) and high-voltage (VLP-211, VLP-212, VLP-213 and VLP-214) styles, all Saf-T-Gard® Voltgard® V-GRIPS® Leather Protector Gloves feature a gunn cut pattern for long-lasting wear and comfort, an adjustable leather strap and durable buckle that comfortably secure the gloves to the workers’ hands and are sewn with leather binding to reinforce critical wear areas. The low-voltage styles feature a slip-on cuff (with the exception of VLP-210S4C) for easy donning/doffing, fit properly over straight cuff industry‑standard rubber insulating gloves, have an Arc Rating of 38 cal/cm2, are designed for use with Class 00 and 0 rubber insulating gloves and are well suited for secondary line work, meter pulling, industrial applications and various other low-voltage applications. The high-voltage styles showcase a red, split leather gauntlet cuff (as well as the VLP-210S4C low-voltage style) that extends protection past the wrist, fit properly over both straight and bell cuff industry-standard rubber insulating gloves, have an Arc Rating of 28 cal/cm2, are designed for use with Class 1, 2, 3 and 4 rubber insulating gloves and are intended for rubber gloving, hotstick and various other high-voltage applications.

All Saf-T-Gard® Voltgard® V-GRIPS® Leather Protector Gloves are dual-sized to fit whole and half sizes in rubber insulating gloves, i.e. – size 9 fits both 9 and 9 ½ rubber insulating gloves, are offered in sizes 8-12 (with the exception of VLP-210S, which is available in sizes 7-12) and are available in lengths ranging from 10” – 14”. Additionally, all styles are sold by the pair, packaged 12 pairs per polybag, 2 polybags (24 pair) per case and are available for immediate shipment.
